Welcome to South Herts Radio. Our main aim is to bring you an
international radio station dedicated to soul music with some offshore radio and DX interest for the real 'free
radio' enthusiast. We share our archive of landbased pirate and offshore radio material and broadcast 'international
radio related' programmes provided by our sponsors as well as make our own programmes for the south Hertfordshire
community.
SHR began as a local low power FM station which built up an international fan base thanks to on-line streaming and relay
options via other broadcasters. Despite now being established as a worldwide
broadcaster we have kept our original name and local FM outlets in the county of Hertfordshire.
SHR has a large archive
of original and restored content from offshore and land based pirate radio including recordings from some
legitmate stations of the past. We recognise the dedicated following for this kind of radio which we are happy
to re-broadcast on our network as a tribute to them. We hope you enjoy our website.
